Gue suka banget sama film satu ini. Berkisah tentang seorang anak yang mencari orang tuanya dengan menggunakan musik. Evan Taylor, usia 11 tahun yang tinggal di panti asuhan sejak ia lahir. Ia selalu bisa merasakan kehadiran musik di sekitarnya, dari apa saja, dari mana saja. Ia percaya kalau orang tuanya dulu saling bertemu karena musik, ia pun percaya kalau musik pula yang akan mempertemukan ia dengan orang tuanya.

Gue suka kata-katanya Evan, prolog di awal cerita :

Listen! Can you hear it? The music. I can hear it everywhere, in the wind, in the air, in the light, it’s all around us. All you have to do is open your self up! All you have to do is listen! Where I’ve grown up–they tried to stop me from hearing the music. But when I’m alone, it builds up from inside me. And I think if I could learn how to play it, they might hear me, they would know I was theirs and find me. Sometimes the world tries to knock it out of you, but I believe in music…the way that some people believe in fairy tales. I like to imagine that what I hear came from my mother and father. Ya, kedua orang tuanya adalah seorang musisi. Ayahnya, Louis, seorang vokalis sekaligus gitaris dalam sebuah band, dan ibunya, Lyla, adalah seorang Cellist terkenal, dan…ya, mereka dipertemukan oleh musik. But then they’re separated.

Evan nggak pernah nyerah untuk bermain musik, dia terus belajar bermain musik, belajar mencari nada yang menjadi miliknya dan berharap dengan musiknya orang tuanya akan menemukannya. Ibunya pun sedang mencari-cari di mana keberadaannya. Evan kabur dari panti asuhannya, terperangkap dengan seorang musisi jalanan yang ingin menjual bakatnya sampai akhirnya ia berada di sebuah sekolah musik; Julliard. Evan sempat bertemu dengan ayahnya, tapi mereka tidak saling tahu dan kenal. Mereka duet bermain gitar di jalan.

Para guru di Julliard mengetahui bakat Evan yang berganti nama menjadi August Rush. Akhirnya August diberi kesempatan untuk tampil dalam sebuah acara konser musik yang besar di Washington, yang dalam konser tersebut akan tampil pula seorang Cellist terkenal, yaitu ibunya. August menjadi Konduktor untuk penampilan terakhir. Saat ia sedang di atas panggung, memimpin musiknya, ibunya yang sedang berjalan meninggalkan panggung setelah penampilannya berakhir balik lagi karena mendengar musik August. Ayahnya yang ternyata saat itu pun sedang tampil dengan band’nya mendatangi acara konser besar itu karena mendengar musik yang dimainkan August dan melihat nama Lyla terdaftar sebagai pengisi acara.

Mereka berdua, kedua orang tuanya mendatangi August yang sedang memainkan musiknya. Dan saling tidak menyangka kalau mereka berdua bisa bertemu di tempat itu, sama-sama melihat anak mereka sedang beraksi memainkan musiknya. Dan ya, akhirnya musik mempertemukan mereka lagi dan mereka menemukan Evan karena musiknya, seperti yang selama ini ia yakini dan inginkan.

Film ini rilis pada tahun 2007 dan dibintangi oleh Freddie Highmore sebagai Evan Taylor / August Rush, Jonathan Rhys Meyers sebagai Louis Connelly dan Keri Russell sebagai Lyla Novacek. Film ini disutradarai oleh Kirsten Sheridan.

Gue suka banget ama Sherlock Holmes, detektif yang tinggal di Baker Street. Tokoh ciptaan Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ini otaknya bener-bener encer dan brilian, cara ia menangani kasus yang nggak terlalu kelihatan banyak aksi, kalem tapi tau-tau udah ada aja jawabannya bahkan cuma dengan sekedar pengajuan pertanyaan tanpa ada aksipun dia udah bisa menemukan jawaban dari kasusnya. Detektif pujaan Conan Edogawa a.k.a Shinichi Kudo ini hanya dengan melihat penampilan dan atau bertemu dengan orang yang bahkan belum dia kenal dan belum pernah ketemu tapi dia bisa tahu banyak tentang orang tersebut. Dan ia pun sangat ahli menyamar.

Dan inilah beberapa quote dari Holmes yang gue ambil dari 2 buku petualangannya yang gue punya, baru 2 emang tapi pasti bakalan gue lengkapi secepatnya ^.^

“Karena otakku akan lebih tajam kalau perutku kosong. Sebagai dokter, kau pasti tahu, sobatku Watson, sel-sel darah yang dipakai untuk membantu pencernaan sebenarnya mengurangi jatah yang untuk ke otak. Dan…juara dunia Moto GP 2009 adalah: lagi, Valentino The Doctor Rossi. Ini kemenangannya yang ke-9 dari semua kelas yang dia ikuti, dan yang ke-7 di kelas Moto GP. Race di Sepang Malaysia kemarin (25/10/09) agak kurang seru memang karena hujan, para rider harus balapan di lintasan basah menggunakan ban untuk trek basah, mengendarai motorpun harus sangat hati-hati, Rossi yang diduga kayaknya bakalan bermain aman ternyata dia nunjukkin semangatnya untuk bisa naik podium dan merayakan juara dunianya.

Rossi yang start di posisi paling depan merosot ke posisi 10 karena terlalu melebar di tikungan pertama sedangkan Lorenzo yang harusnya start di posisi 2 malah start di posisi paling belakang karena saat setelah warm up lap Lorenzo dianggap telat menempati posisinya alhasil posisi k’2 kosong, tapi dia langsung melaju ada di belakang Rossi dan bisa menyalipnya.

Lorenzo-Rossi meng’overtaking pembalap yang ada di depan mereka satu persatu sampai mereka ada di posisi 4 dan 5. Dan pada akhirnya Lorenzo lah yang dibalap oleh Rossi jadi Rossi ada di posisi 4. GAP 5 detik di belakang Dovizioso yang ada di posisi 3, Rossi terus melaju tunggangannya sampai memangkas GAP jadi 2.5 detik di belakan Dovi. Tanpa harus meng’overtaking Dovi, Rossi berada di posisi 3 karena Dovi jatuh. Dan terus ngejar Pedrosa yang berada 5 detik di depannya.

Stoner lah yang finish paling pertama dengan 17 detik di depan Pedrosa. Lalu Pedrosa, Rossi dan Lorenzo. Dan akhirnya Rossi naik podium walaupun nggak di posisi satu tapi dialah sang juara dunia Moto GP 2009.

Masih ada satu kali race terakhir lagi di Valencia. Siapa yang bakalan jadi juara di Valencia? siapapun itu, tetap Rossi lah juara dunianya. Tapi walaupun begitu Rossi pasti akan tetap bertempur di sirkuit itu untuk bisa merebut podium pertamanya yang ke-7 di tahun 2009 ini. Dan bukan cuma Rossi, tapi juga masih ada Lorenzo, Stoner dan Pedrosa yang juga menginginkan podium di Valencia ini, khususnya Lorenzo & Pedrosa yang akan bertarung di negaranya sendiri.

“Throughout the season I had great rivals, at the end especially Jorge my team-mate, who stayed very close to me, and we had some great fights. He’s a great rival so congratulations to him,” said Rossi.

“We tried to the end to beat him, but I think he was the number one this year because he’s been faster than us in almost every race. He was more consistent than us and he was more clever, so he is the winner,” concluded Lorenzo.

Mahameru, puncak dari Gunung Semeru, tanah tertinggi di pulau Jawa, begitu orang-orang menyebutnya. Gunung semeru yang tingginya 3676 meter dari permukaan laut ini terletak di propinsi Jawa Tengah negara kita tepatnya di kota Malang.

Jujur gue bukanlah seorang klub pecinta alam, nggak pernah juga gabung di grup Mapala atau semacamnya tapi gue tertarik banget sama Mahameru ini, pengen banget bisa berada di puncak tertinggi di pulau Jawa itu. Gue pernah sekali-kalinya naik gunung, tahun 2004, gue dan temen-temen naik gunung Gede Pangrango dan itupun cuma sampe air terjunnya aja, nggak tau bisa disebut naik gunung apa nggak ^.^ tapi itu menarik dan bener kata orang kalo udah pernah naik gunung sekali pasti ketagihan, pengen banget bisa naik gunung lagi cuma nggak pernah ada waktu dan nggak ada kesempatan juga.

Dan kemaren gue pinjem buku punya temen gue, judulnya 5 cm karangan Donny Dhirgantoro yang bercerita tentang kehidupan 5 anak manusia yang bersahabat; 4 cowok – Genta, Arial, Zafran, Ian dan 1 cewek – Riani, gue suka ceritanya; lucu, educated dan penuh tantangan dan yang paling menarik adalah saat perjalanan mereka ke Mahameru. Gue jadi tertarik sama puncak yang ada di gunung Semeru itu. Buku ini menggambarkan kalau Semeru itu indah tapi juga mistis; banyak pendaki yang hilang di sana dan tidak ditemukan, Soe Hok Gie pun meninggal di sana karena menghirup gas beracun dari gunung tersebut, dan penuh tantangan pastinya. Buat para pendaki gunung mungkin mendaki gunung ini adalah suatu keharusan dan gue juga pengen mendakinya. Deskripsi dari Donny Dhirgantoro mengenai perjalanan Genta dan kawan-kawan menuju Mahameru sungguh menarik dan di sini gue juga mau menceritakannya; berdasarkan dari buku 5 cm-nya Donny Dhirgantoro.

Perjalanan pertama tentu aja menuju stasiun Malang dilanjutkan ke terminal bus Arjosari lalu ke desa Tumpang. Tumpang adalah gerbang masuk dari Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru (TNBTS). Dari Tumpang pendaki naik Jipp untuk sampai di desa terakhir yang ada di atas sana; Ranu Pane. Harus naik Jipp karena jalan yang akan ditempuh bukan jalan biasa lagi tapi udah naik gunung jadi harus pakai mobil yang four wheel drive karena mobil biasa nggak mungkin bisa kuat sampai ke atas. Dalam perjalanan menuju Ranu Pane kita akan nemuiin sebuah kebun apel; yupz…apel Malang ^.^ kanan kiri jalan yang dilewati dengan jipp ini adalah jurang yang tidak ada pembatas jalannya, wuiihh…serem ya, ngeri dan dingin pun mulai terasa. Dalam perjalanan inipun akan terlihat gunung Bromo dan Mahameru pun terlihat; berdiri megah dan agung begitulah deskripsi Donny Dhirgantoro, Mahameru bukan sekedar perjalanan alam tapi juga perjalanan hati.

Dari Ranu Pane semuanya dimulai dengan melangkah. Di desa ini ada danau dan para pendaki bisa istirahat dan mendirikan tenda di Ranu Pane ini. Perjalan dimulai dari sini, menanjak dan terus menanjak sampai di tempat bernama Ranu Kumbolo yang katanya merupakan surganya Mahameru. Terdapat sebuah danau besar dengan pohon pinus dan cemara berbaris rapi mengelilinginya. Setelah Ranu Kumbolo akan dilewati sebuah bukit tinggi dengan jalan setapak yang menanjak curam membelah kumpulan ilalang liar yang tumbuh di badan bukit, banyak yang menyebut ini sebagai Tanjakan Cinta, mitosnya kalau kita terus mendaki tanpa menengok ke bawah dan selama mendaki kita pikirkan orang yang kita cinta atau kita mau maka segala mimpi tentang cinta kita akan terwujud. Sampai di puncak bukit akan terlihat hamparan padang ilalang luas sekali dengan beberapa bukit kecil memagarinya.

Setelah itu melewati sebuah hutan. Diceritakan oleh Donny Dhirgantoro kalau Genta salah satu tokoh pernah tersesat sendirian selama 24 jam di hutan ini. Ia dulu dan mereka sekarang pun merasa berjalan dan berputar di tempat itu-itu saja, sejak tadi jalan tapi yang ditemui jalan itu lagi jalan itu lagi pohon itu lagi dan pohon itu lagi sampai akhirnya mereka menemukan Edelweis yang menandakan bahwa jalan mereka tidak salah dan sudah keluar dari hutan itu. Penggambaran hutan yang mistis. Edelweis; bunga abadi yang nggak boleh dipetik karena di bawah akan diperiksa dan kalau ketahuan ngambil kita disuruh balikkin bunga itu ke tempat semula, hiiii…

Berjalan lagi akan ditemukan sebuah tempat bernama Kalimati, lembah kecil menganga seperti bekas sungai yang tak berair, terbentuk dari aliran lahar Mahameru yang dulu meletus dan terus turun ke bawah hingga membentuk seperti aliran sungai atau kali dan mati karena laharnya telah mengendap menjadi pasir. Di Kalimati ini bisa terasa Mahameru bergetar dan ngeluarin abu, hujan abu makanya harus mempersiapkan kacamata juga.

Setelah Kalimati lalu melewati Arcopodo; seperti perkampungan kecil para pendaki yang berada di ketinggian kurang lebih 3000 meter. Arcopodo berasal dari bahasa Jawa Arco atau Arca yang artinya patung dan podo yang artinya sama atau kembar. Diceritakan terdapat patung kembar di tempat ini tapi tidak kelihatan karena hanya orang-orang tertentu saja yang bisa tiba-tiba melihat patung itu dan ukuran patungya pun berbeda-beda menurut mereka yang pernah melihat, ada yang bilang kecil ada juga yang bilang besar sekali.

Dari Arcopodo mulai lagi perjalanan menuju puncak Mahameru. Melewati jalan kecil seperti jembatan yang menyembul di antara jurang dalam di kanan kirinya, selanjutnya berjalan vertical; mendaki. Gundukan pasir dan batu gunung berada di depan, jalannya setapak, tinggi dan berpasir, awal paling bawah pendakian puncak Mahameru, begitu menurut Donny Dhirgantoro. Bongkahan pasir kecil bahkan batu berjatuhan di sini. Dari atas situ melihat kembali ke bawah yang sudah dilewati tampak semburat jingga mengumpul di atas langit dan gumpalan awan seperti ombak bergulung, bagai lautan luas mendekati langit, luas sekali seperti tak berujung. Berada di atas awan, samudra menyentuh langit, begitu kata Genta. Lalu menanjak terus mendaki dan sampailah di Mahameru, puncak gunung Semeru, tanah tertinggi di pulau Jawa. Dari puncak Mahameru bisa melihat asap tebal keluar dari Jonggring Saloka; kawah Mahameru.

Bener-bener sebuah perjalan yang menakjubkan. Thank’s buat Ayu yang udah minjemin buku 5cm-nya ini jadi gue tau cerita menakjubkan ini dan buat Donny Dhirgantoro, dari 5 cm ini gue jadi pengen juga bisa memijakkan kaki di tanah tertinggi di Jawa itu dan gue juga pengen banget ada di the Top of Mount Bromo, pengen banget dan mudah-mudahan bisa terkabul, hopefully, amien ^.^

Tulisan ini gue buat berdasarkan desripsi cerita Donny Dhirgantoro dari bukunya 5 cm. Gue suka banget sama ceritanya makanya gue tulis untuk gue masukkin ke blog gue biar yang belum tau dan belum baca bisa baca buku ini, what a nice story and a great journey. Ceritanya berisi banget dan berwawasan. I recommended this book to read to you all, guyz.

One more thing from this book: “…begitu juga dengan mimpi-mimpi kamu, cita-cita kamu, keyakinan kamu, apa yang kamu mau kejar taruh di sini.” Ian membawa jari telunjuknya menggantung mengambang di depan keningnya… “Kamu biarkan taruh di sini… jangan menempel di kening. Biarkan…dia…menggantung…mengambang…5 centimeter…di depan kening kamu….” “Jadi nggak akan pernah lepas dari mata kamu. Dan kamu bawa mimpi dan keyakinan kamu setiap hari, dan percaya bahwa kamu bisa. Apapun hambatannya, bilang sama diri kamu sendiri, kalo kamu percaya sama keinginan itu dan kamu nggak bisa menyerah. Bahwa kamu akan berdiri lagi setiap kamu jatuh, bahwa kamu akan mengejarnya sampai dapat, apapun itu, segala keinginan, mimpi, cita-cita, keyakinan sendiri…biarkan keyakinan kamu, 5 centimeter menggantung mengambang di depan kening kamu….”

Sekali lagi, yang gue tulis di blog gue ini adalah perjalanan Genta dan kawan-kawan ke Mahameru yang ditulis oleh Donny Dhirgantoro dan next time; mudah-mudahan, gue harap dan insya Allah gue akan tulis pengalaman dan perjalanan gue sendiri dan kawan-kawan dalam menapakkan kaki di tanah tertinggi di Jawa itu, amien.

Gunung Semeru atau Sumeru adalah gunung berapi tertinggi di Pulau Jawa, dengan puncaknya Mahameru, 3.676 meter dari permukaan laut (mdpl). Kawah di puncak Gunung Semeru dikenal dengan nama Jonggring Saloko.

Semeru mempunyai kawasan hutan Dipterokarp Bukit, hutan Dipterokarp Atas, hutan Montane, dan Hutan Ericaceous atau hutan gunung.

Posisi gunung ini terletak diantara wilayah administrasi Kabupaten Malang dan Lumajang, dengan posisi geografis antara 8°06′ LS dan 120°55′ BT.

Pada tahun 1913 dan 1946 Kawah Jonggring Saloka memiliki kubah dengan ketinggian 3.744,8 M hingga akhir November 1973. Disebelah selatan, kubah ini mendobrak tepi kawah menyebabkan aliran lava mengarah ke sisi selatan meliputi daerah Pronojiwo dan Candipuro di Lumajang.

Perjalanan

Diperlukan waktu sekitar empat hari untuk mendaki puncak gunung Semeru pulang-pergi. Untuk mendaki gunung semeru dapat ditempuh lewat kota Malang atau Lumajang. Dari terminal kota malang kita naik angkutan umum menuju desa Tumpang. Disambung lagi dengan Jip atau Truk Sayuran yang banyak terdapat di belakang pasar terminal Tumpang hingga Pos Ranu Pani. Sebelumnya kita mampir di Gubugklakah untuk memperoleh surat ijin

Dengan menggunakan Truk sayuran atau Jip perjalanan dimulai dari Tumpang menuju Ranu Pani, desa terakhir di kaki semeru. Di sini terdapat Pos pemeriksaan, terdapat juga warung dan pondok penginapan. Di pos ini pun kita dapat mencari porter (warga lokal untuk membantu menunjukkan arah pendakian, mengangkat barang dan memasak). Pendaki juga dapat bermalam di Pos penjagaan. Di Pos Ranu Pani juga terdapat dua buah danau yakni danau Ranu Pani (1 ha) dan danau Ranu Regulo (0,75 ha). Terletak pada ketinggian 2.200 mdpl.

Setelah sampai di gapura “selamat datang”, perhatikan terus ke kiri ke arah bukit, jangan mengikuti jalanan yang lebar ke arah kebun penduduk. Selain jalur yang biasa dilewati para pendaki, juga ada jalur pintas yang biasa dipakai para pendaki lokal, jalur ini sangat curam.

Jalur awal landai, menyusuri lereng bukit yang didominasi dengan tumbuhan alang-alang. Tidak ada tanda penunjuk arah jalan, tetapi terdapat tanda ukuran jarak pada setiap 100m. Banyak terdapat pohon tumbang, dan ranting-ranting diatas kepala.

Setelah berjalan sekitar 5 Km menyusuri lereng bukit yang banyak ditumbuhi Edelweis, lalu akan sampai di Watu Rejeng. Disini terdapat batu terjal yang sangat indah. Pemandangan sangat indah ke arah lembah dan bukit-bukit, yang ditumbuhi hutan cemara dan pinus. Kadang kala dapat menyaksikan kepulan asap dari puncak semeru. Untuk menuju Ranu Kumbolo masih harus menempuh jarak sekitar 4,5 Km.

Di Ranu Kumbolo dapat mendirikan tenda. Juga terdapat pondok pendaki (shelter). Terdapat danau dengan air yang bersih dan memiliki pemandangan indah terutama di pagi hari dapat menyaksikan matahari terbit disela-sela bukit. Banyak terdapat ikan, kadang burung belibis liar. Ranu Kumbolo berada pada ketinggian 2.400 m dengan luas 14 ha.

Dari Ranu Kumbolo sebaiknya menyiapkan air sebanyak mungkin. Meninggalkan Ranu Kumbolo kemudian mendaki bukit terjal, dengan pemandangan yang sangat indah di belakang ke arah danau. Di depan bukit terbentang padang rumput yang luas yang dinamakan oro-oro ombo. Oro-oro ombo dikelilingi bukit dan gunung dengan pemandangan yang sangat indah, padang rumput luas dengan lereng yang ditumbuhi pohon pinus seperti di Eropa. Dari balik Gn. Kepolo tampak puncak Gn. Semeru menyemburkan asap wedus gembel.

Selanjutnya memasuki hutan Cemara dimana kadang dijumpai burung dan kijang. Daerah ini dinamakan Cemoro Kandang.

Pos Kalimati berada pada ketinggian 2.700 m, disini dapat mendirikan tenda untuk beristirahat. Pos ini berupa padang rumput luas di tepi hutan cemara, sehingga banyak tersedia ranting untuk membuat api unggun.

Terdapat mata air Sumber Mani, ke arah barat (kanan) menelusuri pinggiran hutan Kalimati dengan menempuh jarak 1 jam pulang pergi. Di Kalimati dan di Arcopodo banyak terdapat tikus gunung.

Untuk menuju Arcopodo berbelok ke kiri (Timur) berjalan sekitar 500 meter, kemudian berbelok ke kanan (Selatan) sedikit menuruni padang rumput Kalimati. Arcopodo berjarak 1 jam dari Kalimati melewati hutan cemara yang sangat curam, dengan tanah yang mudah longsor dan berdebu. Dapat juga kita berkemah di Arcopodo, tetapi kondisi tanahnya kurang stabil dan sering longsor. Sebaiknya menggunakan kacamata dan penutup hidung karena banyak abu beterbangan. Arcopodo berada pada ketinggian 2.900m, Arcopodo adalah wilayah vegetasi terakhir di Gunung Semeru, selebihnya akan melewati bukit pasir.

Dari Arcopodo menuju puncak Semeru diperlukan waktu 3-4 jam, melewati bukit pasir yang sangat curam dan mudah merosot. Sebagai panduan perjalanan, di jalur ini juga terdapat beberapa bendera segitiga kecil berwarna merah. Semua barang bawaan sebaiknya tinggal di Arcopodo atau di Kalimati. Pendakian menuju puncak dilakukan pagi-pagi sekali sekitar pukul 02.00 pagi dari Arcopodo.

Siang hari angin cendurung ke arah utara menuju puncak membawa gas beracun dari Kawah Jonggring Saloka.

Pendakian sebaiknya dilakukan pada musim kemarau yaitu bulan Juni, Juli, Agustus, dan September. Sebaiknya tidak mendaki pada musim hujan karena sering terjadi badai dan tanah longsor.

Gas beracun

Di puncak Gunung Semeru (Puncak Mahameru) pendaki disarankan untuk tidak menuju kawah Jonggring Saloko, juga dilarang mendaki dari sisi sebelah selatan, karena adanya gas beracun dan aliran lahar. Suhu dipuncak Mahameru berkisar 4 – 10 derajad Celsius, pada puncak musim kemarau minus 0 derajad Celsius, dan dijumpai kristal-kristal es. Cuaca sering berkabut terutama pada siang, sore dan malam hari. Angin bertiup kencang, pada bulan Desember – Januari sering ada badai.

Terjadi letusan Wedus Gembel setiap 15-30 menit pada puncak gunung Semeru yang masih aktif. Pada bulan Nopember 1997 Gn.Semeru meletus sebanyak 2990 kali. Siang hari arah angin menuju puncak, untuk itu hindari datang siang hari di puncak, karena gas beracun dan letusan mengarah ke puncak.

Letusan berupa asap putih, kelabu sampai hitam dengan tinggi letusan 300-800 meter. Materi yang keluar pada setiap letusan berupa abu, pasir, kerikil, bahkan batu-batu panas menyala yang sangat berbahaya apabila pendaki terlalu dekat. Pada awal tahun 1994 lahar panas mengaliri lereng selatan Gn.Semeru dan meminta beberapa korban jiwa, pemandangan sungai panas yang berkelok- kelok menuju ke laut ini menjadi tontonan yang sangat menarik.

Iklim

Secara umum iklim di wilayah gunung Semeru termasuk type iklim B (Schmidt dan Ferguson) dengan curah hujan 927 mm – 5.498 mm per tahun dengan jumlah hari hujan 136 hari/tahun dan musim hujan jatuh pada bulan November – April. Suhu udara dipuncak Semeru berkisar antara 0 – 4 derajat celsius.

Suhu rata-rata berkisar antara 3°c – 8°c pada malam dan dini hari, sedangkan pada siang hari berkisar antara 15°c – 21°c. Kadang-kadang pada beberapa daerah terjadi hujan salju kecil yang terjadi pada saat perubahan musim hujan ke musim kemarau atau sebaliknya. Suhu yang dingin disepanjang rute perjalanan ini bukan semata-mata disebabkan oleh udara diam tetapi didukung oleh kencangnya angin yang berhembus ke daerah ini menyebabkan udara semakin dingin.

Taman nasional

Gunung ini masuk dalam kawasan Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru. Taman Nasional ini terdiri dari pegunungan dan lembah seluas 50.273,3 Hektar. Terdapat beberapa gunung di dalam Kaldera Gn.Tengger antara lain; Gn.Bromo (2.392m) Gn. Batok (2.470m) Gn.Kursi (2,581m) Gn.Watangan (2.662m) Gn.Widodaren (2.650m). Terdapat empat buah danau (ranu): Ranu Pani, Ranu Regulo, Ranu Kumbolo, Ranu Darungan.

Flora yang berada di Wilayah Gunung Semeru beraneka ragam jenisnya tetapi banyak didominir oleh pohon cemara, akasia, pinus, dan jenis Jamuju. Sedangkan untuk tumbuhan bawah didominir oleh Kirinyuh, alang-alang, tembelekan, harendong dan Edelwiss putih, Edelwiss yang banyak terdapat di lereng-lereng menuju Puncak Semeru. Dan juga ditemukan beberapa jenis anggrek endemik yang hidup di sekitar Semeru Selatan.

Banyak fauna yang menghuni gunung Semeru antara lain : Macan Kumbang, Budeng, Luwak, Kijang, Kancil, dll. Sedangkan di Ranu Kumbolo terdapat Belibis yang masih hidup liar.

Pendaki pertama

Orang pertama yang mendaki gunung ini adalah Clignet (1838) seorang ahli geologi berkebangsaan Belanda dari sebelah barat daya lewat Widodaren, selanjutnya Junhuhn (1945) seorang ahli botani berkebangsaan Belanda dari utara lewat gunung Ayek-ayek, gunung Inder-inder dan gunung Kepolo. Tahun 1911 Van Gogh dan Heim lewat lereng utara dan setelah 1945 umumnya pendakian dilakukan lewat lereng utara melalui Ranupane dan Ranu Kumbolo seperti sekarang ini.

Legenda gunung Semeru

Menurut kepercayaan masyarakat Jawa yang ditulis pada kitab kuna Tantu Pagelaran yang berasal dari abad ke-15, Pulau Jawa pada suatu saat mengambang di lautan luas, dipermainkan ombak kesana-kemari. Para Dewa memutuskan untuk memakukan Pulau Jawa dengan cara memindahkan Gunung Meru di India ke atas Pulau Jawa.

Menurut orang Bali Gunung Mahameru dipercayai sebagai Bapak Gunung Agung di Bali dan dihormati oleh masyarakat Bali. Upacara sesaji kepada para dewa-dewa Gunung Mahameru dilakukan oleh orang Bali. Betapapun upacara tersebut hanya dilakukan setiap 8-12 tahun sekali hanya pada waktu orang menerima suara gaib dari dewa Gunung Mahameru. Selain upacara sesaji itu orang Bali sering datang ke daerah Gua Widodaren untuk mendapat Tirta suci.

Aktivitas

12 Juni 2006, Badan Meteorologi dan Geofisika (BMG) Maritim Tanjung Perak Surabaya, mencatat gempa vulkanik dengan kekuatan 1,8 Skala Richter (SR) akibat aktivitas Gunung Semeru (3.676 mdpl).

Synopsis

Clark decides that he is ready to start his training at the Fortress, but Jor-El insists that he return to Metropolis to cut his ties with Lois before he begins. Lois reappears in the city with no recollection of vanishing, and her investigation into a monorail crash brings her into contact with a new reporter named John Corben… who is opposed to the Red and Blue Blur. Meanwhile, Chloe’s friendship with Clark deteriorates when he refuses to use the Legion ring to save Jimmy; Oliver turns down a dark path, and Zod makes his entrance at the Luthor mansion.

At her watchtower, Chloe calls the police again to get answers about her report on the disappearance of her cousin Lois. She hacks into the computer systems and they cut her off. Suddenly Chloe hears a noise and grabs a gun to go investigate. Dr. Emil Hamilton comes in and when she wonders if Oliver sent her, he tells her that Oliver and the other members of his team have gone their separate ways out of guilt for their involvement in Jimmy’s death. When Chloe points out that Clark has similar feelings, Hamilton notes that he’s dong so without a sidekick.

There’s a flash of electricity on a Metropolis monorail and Lois appears in a burst of light, the Legion ring on her hand. There’s another flash of light and a black-clad woman appears and attacks Lois. She fights back as the train goes out of control from the electrical discharges. It goes off the track and Lois slams into a window, knocking herself unconscious. Clark catches the train and finds himself face-to-face with the unconscious Lois. He sets the train down and superspeeds away before she can see him. Lois goes out and sees where Clark has inscribed the El-family inscription on a wall with his heat vision.

On the rooftops above, Clark looks down on the city, wearing a black uniform with a similar symbol on his chest.

Clark returns to the Fortress and is immersed information provided by the construct of his father. Jor-El notes that he is distracted and wonders if he’s ready. When Clark insists he’s done everything Jor-El has asked and wonders why he can’t fly, Jor-El notes that he still thinks of himself as human and he needs to deal with his emotions instead of avoiding them.

Chloe visits Lois at the hospital and it’s clear that Lois doesn’t remember what has happened since she fought with Tess and disappeared. She realizes that the Red-Blue Blur saved her and saved Chloe from Doomsday as well. Lois remembers she was supposed to meet with the Red-Blue Blur at midnight and runs out, leaving the Legion ring behind. She gets to the phone booth just after midnight and believes that the Blur is watching. She calls out, saying that he can trust her and she wants to thank him for helping Chloe. Lois gets no response.

In New York City, Clark goes to the top of the Statue of Liberty and leaps off, trying to fly. He fails and the mental construct caused by Jor-El ends. It warns that Clark’s compassion is both his greatest strength and weakness. Clark asks what he needs to deal with and Jor-El says that he already knows. Clark realizes that he needs to say goodbye to Lois.

A the Luthor manor, a man walks in and meets with two of his allies and says that he’s lost the trail, but there are others like them out there. He wonders if Tess has spoken and they observe via a security manor that she’s still unconscious. The other two call him Major and wonder why they don’t have powers under a yellow sun. The major takes offense at them questioning him and tells them to kneel before Zod. They knock him unconscious.

Lois returns to the train and tries to call Oliver but doesn’t get an answer. She turns to find a man, John Corben, waiting for her. He notes that she’s been missing for three weeks and Lois is surprised to discover she’s lost a chunk of her life. Corben wonders how the train wasn’t damage and notices the El symbol. He calls the Blur a vigilante and notes that the Blur has started leaving his mark as if he has something to prove. Corben kisses her, much to her surprise. A policeman arrives and orders her off and Lois, angry, assumes Corben is a police detective and stomps on his feet. He doesn’t seem to feel it and smiles as she goes.

Chloe returns to the watchtower to discover that Emil has used Oliver’s funds to supply her with computer equipment. He admits that there are people worth fighting for just like she said. They go to work and Chloe shows Emil the Legion ring Lois left behind. and concludes she went to the future. Emil has been tracking temporal rifts and discovers two rips in the fabric of the universe. They realize Lois actually fought someone who came back from the future.

On a street, Lois’s attacker finds a missing person poster of Lois and incinerates it with her heat vision.

Tess wakes up in her room and discovers that Zod is locked in with her. She’s bruised and wonders why his soldiers beat her for information. He admits that he needed to know what she knew and admits that she’s been accustomed to abuse. Zod concludes he should have tried a different approach and Tess notes he wasn’t the one who spoke through the orb. She realizes Zod doesn’t know either and he wants her to tell him. Tess notes that she was told he would have certain abilities and would come to save the planet, but realizes he doesn’t know why he’s there. She points out that his troops will soon realize he knows nothing and kill him. Tess suggests they work together and removes a belt from beneath her mattress. She tries to strangle him with it but he easily stops her.

Clark arranges to meet with Chloe atop the Daily Planet. He admits that leaving everyone behind wasn’t what he wanted but Chloe says it’s what the rest of the world needs. Clark explains that since he’s been training, his old life seems far behind. Chloe agrees, saying that he can’t look back, and Clark says that he just wants to say goodbye to Lois. Chloe show him the ring and warns that someone from the future is after Lois.

At an underground fight ring, Oliver is getting beaten when Lois comes in, disguised as a round number girl. She points out that he’s been drunk and easy to track down. As Lois explains an assassin is after him, the killer bursts through the wall and her eyes glow. Oliver gets Lois down while Clark appears behind the woman. She admits that she attacked Lois just to bring Clark out. Clark grabs her and hauls her to the farm. She says that Clark betrayed them and he realizes that she’s wearing his father’s watch. It’s set one day in the future and the woman says that Clark gave it to him. She tosses a piece of blue kryptonite on the ground and says that it strips both of them of their abilities because they’re both from the same world. She draws a sword and says she has to defeat him to save their world. Clark fights back and she ends up cutting a chain, swinging an engine block into her. She falls on her sword and tells Clark that she’s sorry before dying.

Lois tends to Oliver’s fight injuries and says that he can’t fool her: he’s a real hero. He insists that he isn’t and says if she thought he was anything more, it isn’t his fault. Lois says it’s okay and walks away, saying she’s already found her real hero.

At the manor, Zod’s men bring Zod and Tess in and demand to know what Tess knows. She says she hasn’t met Zod before today and has no idea where their missing troops are. She tells them to talk to Zod. The soldiers explain that the last thing they remember was their blood being taken before the battle of Kandor. Zod concludes that their world was destroyed and stands up. He points out he’s saved the lives of many of the soldiers there and says they should choose him as their leader and he’s always been true to his word. He vows to find the answers they are looking for or dye trying. The soldiers bow before him including the assassin, Alia.

Clark returns to the barn to find Chloe waiting for him. He tells her that Alia is dead but that it’s not over and he only has a year to figure out how to save the world. Chloe finally asks him to take the ring and go back in time to save Jimmy. He refuses, insisting he’s not a god and the last time he tried to alter history, Jonathan Kent died. Chloe insists it’s the only thing she’s ever asked for everything she’s done for him, but Clark still refuses. She says there’s nothing left of his human side and walks away.

At the manor, Tess goes to her study and discovers everything has been cleared out. A security guard comes in and notes that she ordered him not to interfere. She demands the videos and asks where Zod and his men are. They realize that the video feed files have been wiped out despite the high-security software protecting the information.

At the Planet, Lois tries to access her computer system and finds Corben sitting at Clark’s desk. He explains that she mistook him for the cop and he’s actual a field reporter who has spent the last few years in Afghanistan. Lois tells him that Clark is coming back but Corben says he heard that Clark is visiting family indefinitely. He also notes out that she’s been fired but Lois insists it’s a technicality. Once he leaves, Clark calls as the Blur and Lois thanks him for saving her. He admits in confidence he probably shouldn’t be telling her that.

Later, as Lois goes to bed, she has a dream of future buildings and a man kissing her. She sees Chloe lying on the ground dead, herself making love to Clark, hands covered in blood, and a woman coming at her with a sword.

Synopsis

Dean and Sam watch as Lucifer rises through the portal in the abandoned convent. They try to run but the doors slam shut on them, locking them in. They’re swept up in a blinding white light…

… and find themselves on a jet liner over Ilchester, where they just were. A blinding white light smashes up from the ground and envelops the plane. The air masks come down as the plane goes into a nosedive. Dean looks out the window into the light.

Later, the brothers are driving down the road and listening to a radio newscast about the emergency and denying it’s a terrorist attack. Other channels reveal a series of plagues and disasters sweeping the planet. Sam tries to speak abut Dean says that it’s okay and they need to keep their heads down and has things out. They wonder if the angels put us on the plane and then go looking for Castiel.

At Chuck Shurley’s house, the room is covered in blood and debris. The brothers arrive there and Chuck briefly attacks Sam before realizing who they are. He’s surprised to see them and admits that the last time he wrote about Sam, his eyes were black and his body was out of control. Dean is surprised to hear that Sam’s eyes were black, and Sam admits he didn’t know. Chuck explains that Castiel was destroyed by the archangel. Chuck starts to hear voices and realizes that the angels are coming. Zachariah and his associates arrive to inform Dean it’s time for him to come with them. He denies that they started Judgment Day, but admits they may have let it happen and Sam played a role. Now Zachariah figures they’re on the same team since they want the Devil dead. Dean isn’t willing to play along but Zachariah explains that Lucifer’s power defies description and they need to stop him before he finds a vessel to occupy. When Dean still refuses, Zachariah starts to come after him but notices that Dean’s hand is bleeding. Dean draws the banishing symbol, sending Zachariah and his agents back to Heaven.

Sam and Dean check into a hotel and equip themselves with hex bags to protect themselves from angels and demons. Sam makes them and admits he learned how to from Ruby. Dean wonders how Sam is doing and wonders if he needs blood. Sam says that he feels fine and whoever put him on the plane apparently cleaned him up. When Sam tries to bring up more of what happened, Dean tells him again he doesn’t have anything to say. Sam insists on apologizing anyway but admits it doesn’t do it justice and Dean snaps at him, telling him not to bring it up. They figure they have to treat it like any other hunt and figure out where Lucifer is.

Pike Creek, Delaware

A man, Nick approaches a house and walks through the front gate. The wind picks up, smashing the gate open and shut.

Nick wakes up in bed, covered in blood. However, when he turns on the light he discovers all the blood has vanished. He goes back to bed and realizes a woman is in the bed with him, covered in blood. She says that he’s been chosen. When Nick closes his eyes and opens them, the woman has vanished.

A girl, Becky, is writing Sam/Dean slash-fic when she gets a video message from Chuck. She insists she’s his number one and Chuck explains that he contacted her because she’s the only one who would believe him. He needs her to get a message to Sam and Dean but Becky thinks he’s mocking him because she knows they’re not real. However, Becky is thrilled to hear that they are when Chuck explains.

Becky goes to see Sam and Dean at their hotel. She’s taken aback to see them in the flesh but soon explains that Chuck is being watched by the angels and she has a message for them. She tells them Chuck’s message that the Michael Sword is on Earth and the angels have lost it. It’s in a castle made of 42 dogs.

The guys call in Bobby, who says the Sword of the Archangel Michael may be there only hope. Michael commands the Heavenly Host and is the one who sent Lucifer to Hell using his sword. They start reading but Sam starts apologizing again. He explains that Lilith was the final seal and when he killed her, he set Lucifer free. He admits he brought it all on and Bobby warns that kind of thing can’t be forgiven. He tells Sam that if they manage to stop Lucifer, to never contact him again. Sam leaves to do research at a church.

As they go over the books, Bobby admits that he never thought John was right about how they had to either save Sam or kill him. He wonders if it was right for them to let Sam live, and that the entire situation is on them. Dean gets an idea and goes through John’s good, and finds an address to Castle Storage at 42 Rover Hill. Somehow John had the Michael Sword all this time. Bobby, his eyes going black, knocks Dean to the ground. A female demon, Meg in a new body, walks in with another demon and picks up the demon-killing knife. She’s happy that Lucifer is back in the world road and explains that every demon wants Dean dead. She kisses him and gives the knife to Bobby, figuring letting him kill Dean will torture Bobby’s mental essence. Dean pleads with Bobby and the demon presence recedes. Bobby stabs himself, driving the demon out. Dean attacks Meg and the other demon and Sam arrives. Dean manages to take down his demon, pull the knife from Bobby, and kill it. He advances on Meg, who flees her host body and leaves it to collapse.

In Pine Creek, Nick is examining a room filled with baby toys in his house when the baby chair starts to swing on its own. He hears a baby crying from the box of baby toys and finds a baby monitor in the bottom. He finds the other one in the nursery, but the only thing is an empty crib. Blood starts pouring from the crib and Nick kneels, sobbing.

The Winchesters take Bobby to the local ER and Dean says they need to get Michael’s Sword before the demons do. Sam wants to stay by Bobby but has no choice but to give in. They drive to the storage locker and enter, ready for anything. Dead demons are scattered around the room and Zachariah are waiting for them. He explains that Dean and Sam delivered it to them. When Dean says they don’t have the sword, Zachariah explains that Dean is the Michael Sword, or rather, the vessel for Michael. When Dean mouths off, Zachariah snaps Sam’s leg with a gesture and warns that there’s worse if Dean doesn’t give in to his destiny and let Michael take his vessel. Then he can lead the angels against the Adversary. Zachariah warns that every human on Earth will die if Dean doesn’t agree, but Dean realizes there’s a reason Zachariah isn’t simply nabbing him. Michael needs his consent but Zachariah insists there must be a battle and Michael must lead it. When Dean refuses, Zachariah offers to heal Bobby. When Dean refuses, Zachariah inflicts stage-4 stomach cancer on him and offers to cure him. When Dean still refuses, Zachariah starts to make Sam’s lungs disappear. Dean dares him to kill them but Zachariah warns that he’s just getting started. However, a blinding light appears and Castiel appears to rip the throat out of one of Zachariah’s accompanying angels with a silver knife. Castiel fights the other angel and kill it, and Zachariah wonders how he can still be alive. Castiel agrees it’s a good question and how Dean and Sam ended up on the plane is another good question. Since they both know the angels didn’t do it, there’s only one other entity responsible. Zachariah is scared and Castiel tells him to put the Winchesters back together and go. Zachariah heals the brothers and departs.

Castiel warns that the Winchesters have to be careful. Lucifer is circling his vessel and the hex bags won’t be enough to protect them. Castiel touches them and places an Enochian Sigil on them to ward them against any and all angels, including Lucifer. Sam wonders if he was dead and Castiel admits that he was. They wonder how he managed it but Castiel simply disappears without answering.

Nick wakes up to hear someone whispering to him. He looks to the window and sees his dead wife Sarah. She says that he’s dreaming but it’s all real. She says that she’s an angel… Lucifer. Lucifer says that he’s a special vessel and he needs to take control of Nick, mind and body. Lucifer says it’s unpleasant but it has to be Nick’s choice, and explains that his crime was that he loved God too much. God betrayed Lucifer and punished him, just as God punished Nick him by letting a robber break into his home and butcher his family. Now Lucifer wants to hold God accountable for His actions. Nick asks if Lucifer can bring his family back but Lucifer admits that he can’t. However, he says he can give Nick justice. Lucifer says that he can’t lie and he doesn’t need to. Nick thinks back to the empty house and his dead family, and tells Lucifer “yes.” Light flares from the house after he agrees.

Sam and Dean go to see Bobby, who has learned the doctors don’t think he’ll walk again. Bobby doesn’t believe it and Sam wonders what they do now. Bobby figures all they can do is save who they can. Dean suggests they let the angels and demons fight it out on their own planet and kill as many of them as they can on both sides. However, he admits he has no idea how to do it, but that won’t let him stop it. As they leave, Bobby says that he knows what the demon said to Sam was the demon talking, not Sam. Bobby says he’ll never cut Sam out.

Outside, Sam suggests they get the Colt and use it on Lucifer. However, Dean says that while he fights, he figures they’ve got no chance. He says that Sam of all people know that and Sam asks if there’s something Dean wants to say to him. Dean finally admits that he tried, but he can’t keep pretending everything’s all right when Sam chose a demon over his own brother. He knows Sam is sorry but admits he depended on Sam and he let him down. Sam asks what he can do and Dean says there’s nothing he can do and they’ll never be what they were because he can’t trust Sam.
